Chrome Extension Permissions

Scrape Similar requests the following Chrome permissions, which are used solely for the extension's core functionality:

activeTab

Allows the extension to read and interact with the current active tab to extract links. This permission is only active when you explicitly use the extension.

contextMenus

Enables the right-click context menu option "Scrape Similar Links" for convenient access to the extension's features.

scripting

Allows the extension to inject content scripts for the visual selector and link extraction functionality.

storage

Used to temporarily store extracted links locally in your browser until you export or clear them. No data is stored permanently or shared.

Local Data Storage

The extension may temporarily store the following data locally in your browser:

• Extracted links from your current session
• CSS selectors and XPath expressions you create
• Extension preferences and settings

Important: This data is stored locally in your browser and is automatically cleared when you close the extension popup or restart Chrome. You can also manually clear this data at any time using the extension's "Clear" buttons.
